Data Sphere Docs

Our documentation covers our current APIs and their basic usage, as well as an introduction to our Quality Award Standard and STAC Blueprint. API docs are provided in our own format and in the Open API format (where possible) for ease of use.

Early Stage Product - Frequent Updates Ahead

Data Sphere is still in its early stages and is rapidly evolving with new features, fixes, and patches will be rolling out on a frequent basis. Expect the functionality of our APIs endpoints to change in the future. We will maintain depreciated endpoints until their specified end of life date.

What is Data Sphere?

Data Sphere is Astro Dynamic's Earth Observation marketplace platform. Our focus is connecting the fragmented supply chain in Earth Observation. Some of Data Sphere's key features include:

  • Near Real-Time Data APIs
  • Archival Data Access
  • Quality Rating for Data
  • STAC Metadata

Whether you are supplying imagery, analytics, or looking to leverage Earth Observation in your business, Data Sphere is designed to help you connect with your needs.

Getting Started

All of our endpoints require an API Token to access. Before using any of our endpoints, you will need to login or create an account on Data Sphere. Without an account, you will not be authorised to access any of Data Sphere API endpoints.

Authentication

You can generate, delete, and check the expiration of API Token's in your Dashboard, in API Token page on the sidebar.

Danger

You will only be shown an API Token once. It is important that you save your Token securely.

Warning

We are updating our secruity practices to make authentication more secure. Expect the authentication method to change as we develop Data Sphere further.
